Our History 

Architecture deals with planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambiance to reflect functional, technical, social,environmental and aesthetic considerations. It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of materials and technology, and of light and shadow. Often, conflicting requirements must be resolved. Architecture also encompasses the pragmatic aspects of realizing buildings and structures,including scheduling, cost estimation and construction administration.Documentation produced by architects, typically drawings, plans and technical specifications, defines the structure and/or behavior of a building or other kind of system that is to be or has been constructed.

The School

 of Architecture at University of Lahore was established in 2014 after approval from PCATP, with the aim to evolve into an institution of architectural thought focusing on the human, socio-cultural,environmental, scientific and technological, aesthetic and philosophical values. The academic program of the School follows the framework of curriculum developed by the Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Council of Architects& Planners Pakistan. The five-year Bachelor of Architecture curriculum balances the acquisition of knowledge with the development of skills. The core components of the curriculum are Architectural Design, History and Theory,Building Sciences, and Professional Development.

The School is located on the top floor of the Engineering Tower -1 in New Campus, Defense Road,Lahore. The school has state of the art workshops, lecture rooms, Computer laboratory, Studios, Library and other allied facilities.

Mission Statement

The School of Architecture prepares future architects to make vital contributions to humanity through the creation of architecture. The School focuses its program in architecture to prepare and inspire students for the professional leadership roles and responsibilities required to shape the physical environment and to have a positive impact on the social, economic and cultural qualities of life in Pakistan and the entire international context.

The School of Architecture endeavors to instill in each individual sensitivity to human needs, a genuine concern for quality, integrity and high ideals, a positive attitude for life-long learning, and an appreciation for one's own self-esteem.

B. Arch.Admission Criteria

Entry Requirements:

Higher Secondary School Certificate / Intermediate / ‘A’ Levels or equivalent with anyof the three subjects from the following;

Math,Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistics, Fine Arts, Economics,Psychology, Sociology and Biology,

DAE(Architecture),

Minimum 45% Marks and Interview.
